As part of the space strategy for Europe, the European Commission has set up a network of Copernicus ambassadors: the Copernicus Relays. In Italy, the E. Amaldi Foundation operates as such, coordinating and promoting activities related to the Copernicus program, its benefits and opportunities for users and local businesses.
The E. Amaldi Foundation, through the Business Applications department, is the representative of the Copernicus program and promotes the benefits of using Earth Observation data, ensuring that user needs are integrated into the program itself and maximizing its use to local and operational level to support the development of innovative applications and new business models.
